"Clyde" the brown bear. |

| "Clyde"
the bear was the largest brown bear in captivity and weighed just shy of
a ton and stood 91/2 ft. tall. He was a resident of the Dakota
Zoo, Bismarck ND. When he died I was asked to do a
life size carving of him. For this piece I used the trunk of a
California Redwood to recreate the life size version of Clyde.
This piece stands 12 1/2 ft. tall, 5ft. wide and is 7,000 lbs. of
wood. It is not for sale. Click on photo for larger view. |

hand carved piece has a rough style, western town folk, good guys vs.
bad guy theme to it. The board is 3'x3' and each piece, uniquely
carved, range in size from 3" to 7". This set is for
sale. |
